TUF 10 Original Tryouts:  April 6, 2009 at the Marriot Seattle Airport Hotel in Seattle, Washington.
Original tryouts were held for hopefuls in the middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight divisions.
250+ fighters tried out in Seattle. 70 made it to final auditions. 16 were chosen from them.
TUF 10 FIGHTERS:  16 HEAVYWEIGHTS are featured on this season.

FILMING BEGINS JUNE 1.  Runs for 6 Weeks.


EPISODE 1 (SEPTEMBER 16) - The show debuts on Spike TV airing after Fight Night 19
The 16 heavyweights were selected playground style with Rashad Evans picking first.

Kimbo Slice gets special attention from Rampage, focusing on his grappling.
Roy Nelson butts heads with Rashad's assistant coaches.  They straighten it out.
Rampage selected the first fight and the 2nd, thinking he has guaranteed wins.

His strategy is turned upside down when Mitrione makes the matchups public.
Rashad questions Mitrione's intelligence but doesn't alter his plans

EPISODE 5 (October 14) - "Never Leave A Family of Jensens Behind"Rampage is showcased as a horrible coach. Not up to Zak Zak Jensen gets hazed about his shower practices.

Mitrione is very vocal about fighting.  Fakes shoulder injury.  Making excuses early?

Rampage barrages Darrill with fat jokes and nonstop calls him 'titties'
Jensen gets cut open in practice and Kimbo thinks he maybe be in, but no.

Rampage & Rashad's war of words heats up.  Rashad's impression is hilarious.
Advertising Failure:  UFC markets Lesnar vs Carwin at UFC 106.  Someone's fired.
Mitrione says Wessel is scared of Marcus Jones - causes uproar in the house.
Wes Sims starts to pick on Mitrione as the target is off Zak Jensen for now.
Mitrione has voices in his head.  Talks to wife on the phone?  nope, [points to his head]
Madsen threatens to slap Mitrione after he doesn't ask to drink his orange juice.
After the fight - Rampage goes crazy - tears apart the gym door - was highlight of the season

The coaches challenge also included the assistant coaches.
Rampage used teammate Tiki Ghosn and Rashad used Mike Van Arsdale.
Rashad squeaked out a close victory to have more bragging rights over Rampage.
Kimbo Slice has high hopes of replacing the 'confused' Matt Mitrione.
Kimbo gets an MRI done.  he's missing cartilage.  Has phobia of needles.
Mitrione: "I just want the show to be over so I can go home"

Marcus Jones threatens Mitrione for damaging Junk's retina from their fight
Rampage has to talk Marcus out of venting his frustration by attacking Mitrione
Junk then learns that his retina damage isn't so bad, he will fight again.

Ryan Chiappe (3-4) - A Canadian from Prince George, British Columbia was sent home after a quick two-minute grappling display.

Bryan Baker (9-1) - Casualty of middleweights being eliminated.  23 years old.  High potential.  Next fight is for Bellator against Matt Horowich.

Aaron Stark (9-4) - Casualty of middleweights being eliminated.  Team Quest fighter.

Nick Hinchliffe (10-4) - Casualty of middleweights being eliminated.  BJJ Black belt.
