Tell us, how is your training, how is your life and when will you fight again? Ricardo Arona: Well, what I have confirmed by now is the ADCC in Barcelona, Spain. I'm confirmed to fight in there. It's gonna happen in September 24th. Also I've spoken with Amaury Bitteti who is promoting a large MMA event in Rio de Janeiro, Bitteti Combat. I'm signed with this event, it'll be in September 12nd. Oliver Leite: Talking about your training... what exactly are you doing? Ricardo Arona: I'm doing the right things that are needed to be the champion. A lot of boxing, jiu-jitsu, wrestling, a little bit of each discipline, doing the right thing. Oliver Leite: What about your current sponsors? Ricardo Arona: I have a nice sponsorship with Pretorian, I'm sponsored by Quicksilver... I'm dealing with other great sponsors that are interested in the mainstream events. Oliver Leite: As a close friend of you I'm gonna provoke you now. People are saying you talk too much about fighting again but you'll never come back to the fighting scene. Will you be back? What do you have to say to these people? Ricardo Arona: I'll come back, for sure. My life has no sense if I don't fight. I don't fight for two years and I fight since I was 15, I stayed away from fights for two years and it had no fun at all. As long as I'm alive and healthy I'll be fighting. Oliver Leite: Give your message to your fans. Ricardo Arona: For my fans, for those ones who believe me who know my work it's just a matter of time to see. I'll come back like an animal, with blood in the eyes, just like I always do. |
